In past years in expo, our team has made a product website. This website had basically included everything we had worked on over the course of the entire year and then some. But one thing that in other years the website has lacked was an actual ‘product’ or ‘shop’ feel when presenting our product virtually. This year because we both have a launchpad and an external website we can separate the information from each other allowing capstone students to have the informational website (launchpad) and an actual product website like an online shop or store (external website). One thing that often is displayed on these websites is the product. I’ve decided instead of taking hours of setting up a set, and lighting and then taking pictures and editing them I am going to create mockups. Essentially what mockups are is a photo template where you can enter your product into the desired scene. I’ve created 2 types of mockups. One for my actual palette and one mockup for the paper version. I’ve included these mockups under the product image when you go and try to buy my product in order to give the best realistic product website feel as possible.
