What is Modern Mixing?
My idea Modern Mixing reimagines the idea of a traditional painter’s palette. I will design an insert for the most commonly used palette, the Masterson Sta-Wet Palette. My insert will have a series of various circular sized measurements. These measurements consist of circular drawings on the pallet that will allow the artist to accurately measure, mix, and record their exact process of mixing a specific color.
Modern Mixing will allow my audience of artists to keep track of their mixed colors, improving the efficiency of creating a painting by saving time, money, and frustration that is created by wasted paint in an attempt to match “just the right color.”
Hi! I'm Brynn Paccione and this year I am a senior at Pomperaug High School. I live in Southbury, Connecticut. I have a younger brother who is a sophmore and a Shih-Tzu named Tucker.
I am apart of the cheerleading team, and I am the president of the National Art Honor Society Chapter at PHS. I also am a volunteer cheer coach for Southbury/Middlebury pop warner Pomperaug warriors. With my free time I love to do art, read, spend time with my family and friends and attend various sporting events like football and hockey
In the fall I will be attending the Stamps School Of Art and Design at the University of Michigan with an intended concentration/interest in graphic design and animation.
